Air Plants or tillandsia, are unique epiphytic plant that occasionally are rootless. They grow in forests, jungles and deserts obtaining nutrients from water and air. They make unique and easy gifts. Perfect for kids, adults with brown thumbs and offices that need an easy plant fixture.
Air plant care is simple, a dunk of water 10-30 minutes once a week with intermittent misting. Once a month it is encouraged to fertilize the water and let them bathe in it for an extended period ( 30-40 minutes ). Once bottom leaves start turning brown, the caretaker may trim the leaves back and the air plant will regrown new ones.

Terrariums are on trend for 2019! We are seeing more local companies here in Boulder encourage terrarium building by providing more containers and unique spaces to plant succulents. Not only are they easy to care for, there are hundreds of varieties of succulents that can be planted to make them all different! Unlike planting in an open pot, terrariums are enclosed or almost enclosed containers that allow for humidity to build up. This creates a greenhouse effect in the jar or container allowing succulents to feel more at home. They make great centerpieces, gifts or dining room table converstion starters.
